On April 1st 2014, all Second Years headed up to Carlingford Adventure Centre in Co. Louth. This was a highly anticipated occasion as some of us had heard beforehand from other students that it was a fantastic trip.
When we arrived, our two activities for the day were Canadian Canoeing and Laser Tag. Fortunately, we had the weather to do these activities. In order for us to participate in Laser Tag, we had to put on camouflage suits and collect our guns, while the other group spent the morning in the water, canoeing, trampolining and pier jumping. As we undertook these tasks, we learned the important values of team work and strategy.
After our busy morning, the teams gathered in the visitor centre and ate a delicious lunch. Afterwards, both groups switched activities.
After a long and fun-filled day of ice cold water and khaki jump suits, we returned to the coaches and began our journey back to Dublin in great spirits. It was a wonderful day out that the Second Years will never forget. We thank Ms. Crinion for organising a great day and Ms. Prendergast, Mr. Bain and Ms. Joyce for accompanying us and for making our day so memorable.
