On Sunday 28th September, three past pupils of Loreto the Green were involved in the Junior and Senior Ladies Football All Irelands in Croke Park.  Jennifer Moran represented New York in the Junior All Ireland and Noelle Healy and Deirdre Murphy represented Dublin in the Senior.  Jennifer is the pupil who in 2005 sought permission to introduce Gaelic Football into the school as a TY initiative and captained the school's first Ladies Gaelic Football Team that year.  Deirdre is a former school Gaelic Football Secretary and player of the year.

Jennifer (sister of Elaine Moran) played full back on the New York Team which was defeated by Wexford by a very close margin 1-12 to 1-10.  Dublin was pipped at the post by Cork in the Senior Final by an even closer margin.  Cork 2-13, Dublin 2-12.

It has just been announced that Noelle Healy has been nominated for a 2014 TG4 All Star Award. The All Star winners will be revealed at a Gala Presentation in the Citywest Hotel, Dublin on Saturday November 8th.  Congratulations to Noelle and and we wish her the very best of luck.
