On Tuesday, 25 March, a group of Transition Years took part in a schoolgirls’ Tag Rugby tournament run by the Leinster Rugby Branch.
Ken Knaggs from Leinster Rugby had visited us in PE and coached us the basic skills and rules of Tag in March, so this tournament was a good chance for us to put our skills to the test! It was great to play on the new Astro pitches in Donnybrook Stadium and we all worked hard to score as many tries as we could.
We played five different schools and learned how competitive and fast Tag Rugby really is ! At the end, we all gathered to get a photo with the Leinster Mascot – Leo the Lion and the Leinster coaches gave all of us free wristbands for participating so well.
Overall it was a fun morning and a well organised tournament. Well done to all my team mates and thank you to Ms. Crinion for bringing us.
