Join us for Ceiliúr Christmas Premier at 3pm today – all proceeds go to Capuchin Day Centre

At Loreto College St. Stephen’s Green, Carols by Candlelight is a long-standing Christmas tradition and a highlight of the school calendar, not just for the magic of the occasion but because all donations on the night go to support brother Kevin’s work at the Capuchin Day Centre. At this time of year there would normally be the hustle and bustle of rehearsals in the wonderful surroundings of Church Street, the sound of young voices, the tuning of instruments, but then nothing is normal in 2020. Instead, Ceilliur, the school choir, directed by Caoimhe Ní Áinle, has recorded a ‘Virtual Choir’ version of ‘Wintersong”.  A Go Fund Me page has been set up to raise much needed funds for the Capuchin Day Centre:

We would love to match other years and so our target is as ambitious as ever €10,000. We urge you to enjoy the music while reaching out to the homeless of Dublin. Please support as generously as you can. We need you more than ever this Christmas.
