Motorsport Ireland have introduced Go Girls Karting experience to give young females an insight into the world of Motorsport. Using Motorsport as a platform to teach STEM education provides a new way of thinking for students. The aim is to develop awareness around careers for women in motorsports. Thirty students from Loreto College visited the Go Girls Karting experience. They used their knowledge and skills from the STEM workshop and applied them on the race track. Students entered into heat races and learned how to take the racing line as well as how to pass other karts. 

At the end of the Kart race experience day, five students qualified for the Formula Female & Tillotson Racing All Ireland Karting Challenge. This was an educational and fun day for all participants!
