We went to Uisce on the 23rd of March. We were up early and despite the tiredness we were all excited . The bus journey was filled with chat and laughter as well as a few interesting travel updates from Ms.O’Reilly as we whizzed through the Irish countryside . Once there, we unpacked and headed straight into the water. I have to admit the water was ice cold but the swimming we did warmed us up . That night we had a Ceilí . It was great fun ! We learned traditional Irish dances like “Ballaí Luimnigh”. My stomach was sore from laughing and I think everybody enjoyed it a lot . After a quick phone call home we headed for bed.
The next morning we were awoken by “suas libh cailiní, bricfeasta”. I forgot to mention that the supervisors spoke Irish to us whilst there. I really liked this as I learned new Irish words. That morning we went windsurfing . I found this quite difficult as I’d never done it before . Afterwards we did juggling which was very challenging but fun. In the afternoon we went surfing. This was one of the best activities. After a tiring day we returned back to the centre for dinner. Once finished we did archery and wall climbing . These were enjoyable and entertaining. Our instructors were very helpful and whenever we had a problem they were always there to help .
The final day we did stand up paddle boarding. In my opinion this was the best activity. To finish, we did a paddle board race which was very exciting and funny. We had a few falls but we all made it back to land! In Uisce I lost all sense of time, with no phone I had no distractions. It was a much needed digital detox . What I loved most about our trip to Uisce was talking and getting to know new people. It was a very memorable trip and I am so thankful to Ms.Crinion for organising it. I would also like to thank Ms.Keegan and Ms.O’Reilly for taking us to Uisce . We all really appreciated it.
