The Dublin Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes took place from the 7th-12th September after a two year absence. Sixth Years Lauren, Olivia, Leah and Alicia and Mr Fitzgerald joined the 120 other ‘Blueshirts’ from schools throughout Dublin to help the pilgrims during the 6 days. As well as assisting in all the liturgies and processions, they hiked to the small village of Barthez, where St. Bernadette spent time as a young child. They also visited the small town of Gavarnie in the foothills of the Pyrenees.
It was a most rewarding trip for all our group in the service of others.
