Shortly before Christmas Loretina was born. Her mother, a former student of Loreto Rumbek, is one of the young women who invited Loreto Rumbek to construct a school in Aweil. The girls there shall have the same educational opportunities as the girls in Rumbek.  The land has been blessed, the first sod has been turned and construction is underway. By the time Loretina is old enough for kindergarten, the first classrooms will have been built, and the first boys and girls will receive a holistic and qualitative school education in Loreto Aweil.

We have a new mural on the wall on the 4th floor stairs. Our 3rd Year student Juliet has created the mural as part of a fundraising initiative to raise funds for Loreto Aweil. Every student in the school is being invited to sign the mural for a minimum donation of €2.
