The Mary Ward Social Justice Group is central to life at Loreto.

A new committee is selected each September.

The Social Justice Group is open to all students in Senior Cycle, it raises awareness of the difficulties, financial and emotional, facing so many people in the Dublin City area.  As well as general fundraising, the Social Justice Group students and the teacher volunteers arrange a ‘Soup Run’ each Friday afternoon after school.  Groups head out onto the streets of the city centre. They distribute sandwiches, which are made in school on Friday at lunchtime, biscuits and a hot drink to the many homeless they encounter on their way.
